It takes10 min on the train to London Bridge or 15 to 20 to Charing Cross. There are also direct buses to the centre (West End) .Rent for the room is 600 pounds GBP per calendar month and this includes council tax, broadband and utility bills. I ask one month's deposit and one month's rent in advance . Please note there is no landline phone , but as there is broadband you can use Skype on your own computer, or your mobile phone , obviously. There is a shared living room (with freeview but an old telly!) small shared kitchen with washing machine, garden to sit in on a summer evening and bathroom, all shared with two other females both artistic professionals. I am the owner of the house, so you would be a lodger rather than a flatmate...if you are a naturally considerate person, this should make very little difference. I do ask that you check with me first if you want to have a visitor, but this is rarely a problem with enough notice. The house is a quiet and friendly house conducive to study.
I work at home, so I need peace and quiet to work, sometimes quite strange hours, so I need someone who, though friendly by nature is self contained, like me. I have lots of interests (music, arts in general ,Tai Chi, language,- french or spanish lodgers very welcome! )I'm pretty much vegetarian but other people cooking meat doesn't bother me if you use your own pan! I love to learn new things and appreciate other people with the same attitude. .
